Event Summary The EU LIFE Programme provides funding opportunities for the support of Environment, Nature Conservation and climate action projects throughout the EU with a budget of 3.4 billion for 2014-2020. Awards are typically in the range of one to five million euro for projects with a duration of three to five years. Maximum EU co-financing rates of 60/75% apply depending on the project topic.

The European Commissions 2017 call for applications is due to open in mid-May, and is expected to reflect an increased emphasis on transnational projects.

The Department of Communications, Climate Action and Environment, as National Contact Point in Ireland, invites you to this Information day, as a means of promoting the LIFE programme and assisting potential applicants in Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Focus on the day will include: providing potential applicants with the opportunity to hear about a successful Irish project and avail of that projects teams experience of the LIFE programme; a Workshop Play your LIFE cards right interactive session focused on eligibility/LIFE Programme priorities facilitated by JNCC (UK LIFE National Contact Point); and presentations on practical issues such as tips on preparing and writing a LIFE Programme application.

Registration
Places are limited and priority will be given to groups with definite plans to submit a LIFE Programme application this year or in subsequent calls. If you are interested in attending, please let us know by email at LIFE@dccae.gov.ie
