Clara Youthreach launched an exhibition of their award winning “Community Tree” project at Clara Library on Wednesday 15th June at 11.00a.m.

The project which won the ECO-UNESCO Comhar Sustainable Development Award was on display until 24th June, during which time workshops were offered to local primary school classes to come and discover for themselves the benefits of protecting our environment in a fun interactive way.

The exhibition included:

  • The  flash animation  “Treebees” which encourages the younger members of the community to be more aware of environmental issues
  • The environmental awareness raising board game which uses characters from the animation, highlighting actions we take on a daily basis that have a good effect on the environment and also the ones that have bad effects.
  • A documentary detailing the Community Tree Project.
  • Colouring and puzzles with an environmental theme.
  • A display about the project

Clara Library hosted the exhibition as part of its ongoing ENFOpoint pilot programme which has been running since December last and which aims to promote Clara Library as a source of environmental information for the whole community.

We would like to congratulate Clara Youthreach on all that they have achieved through their hard work and on their recent award success and wish them every success with this exhibition and their project in the future.
