Nano Reid was born in Drogheda, Co Louth. It is not known exactly which year she was born. Some people believe it was in 1900. Others think it was in 1905.
In 1920 Nano started at the Dublin Metropolitan School of Art. She also studied in Paris and London. Many of her paintings are based on Drogheda and the area around it.
