Should we preserve our bogs? Bogs are important habitats for birds and animals. They have a unique flora. They are also a tourist attraction.
Should we continue to exploit our bogs? They provide jobs. We export peat products, and we use them for electricity production instead of oil or coal, which we have to import. When the bogs are stripped, they can be made into forests and grasslands.
