The weather forecast is very important to farmers.

Why do you think that is?

They get special forecasts to tell them what the weather is likely to be for the coming week. They become very good at forecasting the weather themselves.

This rhyme is one of the old ways of forecasting the weather using weather signs.

Red sky in the morning,

Shepherd's warning.
