The World Boxing Association (WBA) is a boxing organization that regulates official matches, and awards the WBA world championship title, at the professional level.   It is the original sanctioning body of professional boxing and can be traced back to the original National Boxing Association (of America), organized in 1921.

It is now one of three major organizations recognized by International Boxing Hall of Fame which sanction world championship boxing bouts, alongside the International Boxing Federation and the World Boxing Council.
