Bunratty Castle Medieval Collection

The Bunratty Castle Medieval Collection is an impressive collection of artifacts accumulated by the Viscount Gort who restored Bunratty Castle after purchasing the ruined medieval building in 1953. The collection is now managed by the Gort Furniture Trust for the Irish nation. The collection includes works of art and furniture which are located throughout the castle in more than a dozen rooms. Among the items on display include tables, chairs, chests, beds, statues, paintings, tapestries, weapons and armour.
