Cape Clear Island Museum & Archive

The home of the Cape Clear Museum is a rebuilt old schoolhouse at Cape Clear island, Co. Cork.  It houses a large collection of maritime artefacts and other items of folklife interest.  The museum also holds a large collection of exhibition panels covering 14 aspects of island life and history. Each summer a number of these panels covering a few themes are selected for exhibition.

The  Museum Society is compiling documentation relating to many aspects of island life and history in to an island archive. From 2013 Cape Clear Island Archive will operate within Cork County Library, Cork and Cape Clear Island Branch Library.
