The Marina

Located between the Clyde and Adelphi Wharfs, this public facility has brought new life back on to the South Quays. The Marina was officially opened by the Mayor on the 19th July 1997 and proved to be such an outstanding success that it was extended in 1998.

The Marina and harbour, 2003 The marina consists of a line of floating pontoons tied to fixed piles and connected to the quayside by a single gangway which is controlled by security gates and a CCTV system. The new marina provides berthing facilities for 90 boats and is available all year round to both visitors and local boat owners.
