O Carolan Harp, Cultural and Heritage Festival 2004
The programme of events for the 2004 festival at Nobber in commemoration of O Carolan lists the lecture, harp and instrument workshops, the tour of Carolan country, the competitions and concerts that took place that year. The festival ran between the 1st and the 3rd of October in 2004.

Programme of Events 1994 Turlough O Carolan Harp Festival
The programme of events for the 1994 festival lists all the competitions for harp and other instruments, the music workshops, lectures and events that took place for the 1994 Harp and Cultural Festival. The festival was on from 29th September to 2nd October in 1994.

The Chieftains at Carolan's monument site
When the decision was made to have a suitable monument erected to Carolan in his birthplace the Chieftains returned to perform in concert and to visit the site chosen for the monument.

O Carolan Harp, Cultural and Heritage Festival 2003
The programme of events for the 16th annual O Carolan festival at Nobber in 2003 lists the usual instrumental workshops and competitions, as well as the traditional concert and ceili. The new event in 2003 was the unveiling of the Turlough O Carolan monument in the harper's birthplace of Nobber. The festival took place between the 3rd and 5th of October 2003.

Kilmainhamwood pageant
An O'Carolan festival was held in Kilmainhamwood in 1970 to celebrate the tricentenary of the birth of O'Carolan. Members of the pageant included Carolan as a boy and as an adult, Bridget Cruise, Mrs MacDermottroe and her husband and some of the patrons for whom Carolan composed music.

The Nobber Harp Ensemble
The Nobber Harp Ensemble is made up of students and former students from the Meath Harp School at Nobber. The ensemble, under the baton of Dearbhail Finnegan, performs at concerts and public events.

O Carolan Harp and Cultural and Heritage Festival 2003
The Harp Festival Committee were delighted to have an image of their own specially commissioned statue of O Carolan on the front cover of the 2003 festival programme. Ann Meldon Hugh's memorial to O Carolan was unveiled at the festival by Tony Finnegan, now President of Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann with the Chieftains and local musicians and guests in attendance. The usual competitions, workshops and ceili took place and the annual lecture was on poets of cultural transition in Meath and Breifne.

O Carolan Harp, Cultural and Heritage Festival 2005
The programme for the most recent 18th annual O Carolan festival in 2005 demonstrates the continuing relevance and popularity of the festival at Nobber. The annual lecture, the harp and other musical instrument workshops, the competitions and traditional concert and ancillary local events draw a loyal and ever increasing crowd to the village where the festival takes place in O Carolan college and in the local library. This year the festival ran between the 30th of September and the 2nd of October.

In 1991 the Nobber Harp Festival committee expanded the programme brochure to include listings of events, and articles on the harp and on the annual lecture. Photographs of the previous year's events were also included.

Kilmainhamwood Pipe Band
The new headstone to Peter Gallegan (1792-1860) was unveiled in 1992. The Kilmainhamwood Pipe Band led the procession to the old graveyard in the village for the unveiling of the memorial to the poet, scribe and hedge schoolmaster.

Nobber Festival Committee and Guests 1993
In 1993 the Harp Festival at Noober was officially launched by Minister Noel Dempsey. The Chieftains played in concert that year. Also attending was Brian Keenan who had been sustained by thoughts of Carolan while a captive in Beirut. Keenan went on to write a novel, "Turlough", based on Carolan's life.

The festival programme of 2004 contained many tributes to Tony Finnegan who died in December 2003. A traditional concert was held in his memory. Arthur Edelstein attended to launch his book on O Carolan called "Fair Melodies". Seamus MacGabhann lectured on O'Carolan and the Big Houses -Their Culture, Fate and Legacy.

The Nobber festival committee expanded their title in 1993 to take in both harp and cultural themes. Festival events are listed, the new Meath Harp School is described and a synopsis of the annual lecture, this time on Michael Clarke of Whitewood (1750-1847), is given.
