The National Library of Ireland: Digital Preservation Training programme (DPTP)


The NLI is hosting the Digital Preservation Training programme (DPTP) on October 2nd and 3rd 2012

This is the first time the course will have been offered in Ireland and it provides the skills and knowledge necessary for organisations such as museums, libraries and archives that deal with digital objects as part of their collections to combine organisational and technological perspectives, and devise an appropriate response to the challenges that preservation of these objects present. DPTP is operated and organised by the University of London Computer Centre (ULCC), with contributions from leading experts in the field. A number of scholarships will be offered in order to facilitate attendance at this course from as diverse a range of organisations as possible. More details will be available closer to the date.
