Offical Opening of Tullamore Central Library

The new central library in Tullamore was launched on the 4th February, 2013

Minister Phil Hogan, TD, launched the new Central Library in Tullamore on the 4th February, 2013. The library is designed as an open plan layout and includes a dedicated local history area, a multi purpose ICT/e learning space, community meeting areas, outdoor reading/events space, study/learning areas and an improved children and teenage space.

The library offers a collection of 39,000 items as well as several digital collections; new digital collections include online searchable local newspapers, ebooks and audiobooks. The majority of transactions in the new library are self service. Tullamore Central Library is open 48 hours a week, Monday to Saturday, including lunch times and evening openings.
