Navan Library first Irish library to join NAPLE Sister Libraries programme
Meath County Libraries has been welcomed as the first Irish library to join the NAPLE Sister Libraries programme!
The NAPLE Sister Libraries programme offers public libraries the opportunity partner with a library in another country. So far, 27 sister partnerships have been established with considerable mutual benefits. Examples include, but are not limited to:
- Exchange of library information
- Exchange of library resources
- Shared library training programmes
- Shared library programmes and exhibits
- Shared cultural events
- Assistance in library development
- Staff exchanges
A list of all the countries and regions participating in this project is available on the NAPLE Sister Libraries website.
Any Irish libraries interested in participating in this programme should fill out an application form and return it to Ruth Montague at rmontague@lgma.ie.
