Children's Summer Reading Challenge Activities
The Creepy House Summer Reading Challenge is well underway with over 150 children in the Bunclody area signed up to the challenge to read six books over three visits to the library during the summer. Participants have been collecting incentives and recording their progress in their own Creepy House Log Book as they read their way from the Awful Upstairs, through the Gruesome Ground Floor to the Spine-Tingling Cellar. Vikings & Normans in Ireland history workshop, Thursday 22 August, 10:30am - 12:00noon
This workshop is an interactive, costumed display for children aged 9-12 years on the history of the Vikings & Normans in Ireland with local historical re-enactment company Montague Heritage Services.

Discover what little bugs slither and scurry in your own Creepy-Crawly House. Mark Nolan of Green Bee Education, Children’s Environmental Education specialists, will provide these workshops which are sponsored by Wexford County Council Environment Section and coincide with our biodiversity photographic exhibition.

Exhibition
Biodiversity Photography Exhibition: “Wildlife in the Hedgerow”
An exhibition of photographs submitted to Wexford County Council Environment Department, for the 2013 Biodiversity amateur photography competition will be on display in Bunclody Library for the month of August. All welcome.
Coming up in September
Biddy White Lennon will talk about her new book, “Wild Food Nature’s Harvest: How to gather, cook & preserve”, Saturday 21 September at 2.30pm.
Biddy will bring live samples of whatever wild food is in season as well as examples of some preserved wild foods.
