Talk on Mount Leinster & Blackstairs region, Thursday 10 October at 7pm
Barry Dalby, cartographer, map publisher, and owner of East West mapping will give a talk on Mount Leinster and the Blackstairs mountain region. Barry will talk about the various aspects of these hills, some of the people that live(d) there, local placenames etc. with a focus on the landscape, geography, wildlife, local interest etc.

Ger Williams, registered lecturer with the Federation of Irish Beekeepers Associations and an experienced beekeeper will give a talk on the practicalities of keeping bees and producing honey.

Wexford Local Authorities Photographic Society Exhibition, 1-30 October
Wexford Local Authorities Photographic Society was founded in January 2012, by a group of motivated photographers working within the local authorities. Part conventional camera club, part photographic co-operative, the Society provides a frontline photographic service to Wexford Local Authorities.
Children’s Book Festival at Bunclody Library
Alan Nolan, Friday 4 October 10-11am
Graphic novelist Alan will provide a talk about his graphic novels, explaining how he came up with the characters and plots. He will give a practical drawing demonstration and exercise where each child will get an unfinished cartoon strip and can finish it themselves with Alan’s help.

Roisin Meaney, Tuesday 8 October 9.30-10.30am
Roisin worked as a primary teacher in Limerick and now writes full-time. She has published books for adults and children including “Don’t Even Think About It” and “See If I Care” (with Judi Curtin).
Roisin will chat about her work as a writer and talk about storytelling and books.

Rory McConville & Paddy Lynch, Thursday 10 October 9.30-10.30am
Author, Rory and illustrator, Paddy have produced a historical graphic novel 'Big Jim - Jim Larkin and the 1913 Lockout' which presents the events of the 1913 Lockout in a very accessible, beautifully illustrated format. They will introduce, with the aid of projected images, the graphic novel writing and artistic processes, from research, story-making, scripting and sketching to the final product.
