Positive Ageing Week at Carlow Library Service

A week of events and activities for older people

To celebrate Positive Ageing Week 2013, Carlow Library Service supported by KilkennyCarlow Contact and Carlow County Development Partnership provided a week long series of events and activities for older people. The week was launched by former politician, Mary O Rourke who spoke about her life experiences and kept the audience enthralled for over 1 ˝ hours. Other popular events included knitting parties with Ana Lopes, ICT skills workshops with staff member John Shortall, watercolour workshops, drama and willow making classes.

This was an opportunity for Carlow Library Service to celebrate older people and to encourage them to use their local library a free service.
