Vacancies: Two Archivists, National Archives of Ireland

The late Professor Francis J. Crowley bequeathed most of his estate to the Republic of Ireland to be used for the preservation of records of the history of the Irish people.
The Archivists recruited to work on the Crowley Bequest Project will perform professional duties in connection with the inventory,conservation, listing, contextualising, and partial digital publication of the Chief Secretarys Office Registered Papers for the period 1818-1852, and will liaise with and supervise other staff engaged in related work. Outreach activities such as lectures, presentations and written pieces on the material will also be required, and the creation of online exhibitions based on the material.

Location The Special Projects Division is located in the headquarters of the National Archives at Bishop Street, Dublin 8, but Archivists may be required to work in other locations where material of relevance to the CSORP 1818-1852 is held or where work relating to the project is being carried out.
