Meet writer Catherine Dunne, Thursday 14 November, 7pm
Catherine will talk about her writing, and her recently-published novel 'The Things We Know Now', which won the prestigious Giovanni Boccaccio International Prize for Fiction in Italy in September where the novel was an instant bestseller. ‘The Things We Know Now’ is a sensitive, insightful novel which portrays a family trying to come to terms with the tragic death of their young son. The Boccaccio Literary Society says ‘Dunne excavates the subtleties of both the inexplicable and the unspeakable.’

Scien-tastic Halloween science workshop, Saturday 9 November, 11am – 12noon
Join Michelle Maher for a spooky, glowing, explosive science workshop. Become a real scientist in the Scien-tastic fully interactive children’s laboratory. Discover and explore science through experimentation and activities, make glow in the dark slime, create fluorescent polymers and of course some explosive reactions.

‘The Science of Archaeology’, Wednesday 13 November, 10.30-11.30am
To celebrate Science Week, archaeologist Catherine McLoughlin, will give a children’s workshop explaining the science of archaeology and dendrochronology (tree ring dating). The interactive workshop will link science and archaeology in an engaging manner. The children will examine a piece of wood with visible tree rings and complete a worksheet with a series of questions.
Co Wexford Storytelling Festival
Storytelling with Simone Schümmelfeder, Thursday 7 November, 9.45-10.45 am & 11.00-12.00
Simone, a native of Germany, combines traditional European folktales with modern stories.
For primary school children: magical mystery adventure stories involving wizards, dragons and lots of fun.
For secondary school children: the stories include legends, myth and true stories from Europe.
Suitable for primary or secondary school students.

Storytelling with Julie Duane, Thursday 21 November, 9.45-10.45 am & 11.00-12.00
Julie is a storyteller, actor, radio and T.V. broadcaster, part-time lecturer and facilitator in Drama in Education. She designs and facilitates workshops in storytelling, communication and drama in education for children and adults for primary schools and other groups.

Philip Byrne, Thursday 28 November at 7pm
Renowned Bray storyteller Philip Byrne will captivate you with a good story. Philip has been telling stories about all aspects of our heritage for many years. He has a great love and respect for the folklore of not only his native county Wicklow, but of all Ireland. His stories are an eclectic mix of old and new, traditional and modern.
