Think Outside the Book
Library Ireland Week 2013 will take place from the 11th15th November. The week aims to raise the profile of libraries and information service professionals and gives libraries and information services the opportunity to showcase their resources, facilities, events, contacts and services through different programs and events. Library Ireland Week provides an opportunity to discover and celebrate the depth of resources on offer in Irish Libraries this week - just Think Outside the Book.
Clare County Library invites you to visit any, or all, of our fifteen branches throughout the county and rediscover what is available to you from your local library service. Youll discover a whole world of books, CDs, DVDs and more. Surf the internet or check your email at our free internet access points. You could begin tracing your family tree at the Local Studies Centre. You may even join one of our many clubs including children's, adult and teenage book clubs, scrabble clubs and a poetry group. Membership is free for pre-school, primary, secondary and third level students and for senior citizens. Remember, it is never too early or too late to join your local library! A whole new experience awaits you!
There will also be special events running to celebrate Library Ireland Week including a 'Pride and Prejudice' workshop in the Ennis and Scariff branches, a Christmas card art workshop in the Shannon branch, storytelling in many branches and a host of other activities.
