Irish Wheelchair Association: Access Guidelines 2014 launched at Carlow Central Library

These guidelines replace the 2nd edition which was published in 2010
Launched on November 12th in Carlow Central Library, these guidelines replace the 2nd edition which was published in 2010. This new publication has been designed to influence and advocate for future legislation, the development of new regulations and improved access standards.
Attending the launch was Tom Barry, Chief Executive Carlow County Council and County Librarian, Josephine Coyne. Both spoke of the importance of these guidelines to guide and ensure high standards of accessibility are being applied to all local authority services and buildings. The launch was also attended by members of Carlows Irish Wheelchair Foundation and a presentation was provided by Bridget Boyle, a member of the IWA access group.
These guidelines are available across the public library network and on the IWA website at or at the local IWA centre located in Teach Failte on the Kilkenny Road, Co Carlow.
