Our Digital Gallery is the showcase for the many photographic collections housed in Cavan Library Service. These photograph collections offer a rich and comprehensive insight into how Cavan people lived and worked in the nineteenth and twentieth centurys. The images visually record the cultural, educational, and social development of Cavan, as well as its urban structures, regional landscapes, transportation methods and sporting cultures. The images portray Cavan's agriculture, industries, schools, communities, and civic growth from the mid-1800s up until the early 2000s. All the images in our Digital Gallery have been carefully digitised, catalogued and preserved to the highest archivial standards. You can search our main Library Catalogue for images also!
