Launch of Getting down to Bizness brochure at the Bizfest 2014

Carlow County Library Service launched their "Getting down to BIZness" brochure at the Bizfest 2014. Both Josephine Coyne, County Librarian and John Shortall, Executive Librarian (pictured above) attended Bizfest 2014 and took the opportunity to meet and greet the business community of Carlow and surrounding areas and to promote the many and varied support services that Carlow County Library Service has to offer.

Now in its second year, Bizfest 2014 was hosted by the Carlow County Council Local Enterprise Office and Bank of Ireland and was held on 26th November 2014 in the Lord Bagenal Hotel, Leighlinbridge. Bizfest aims to provide an opportunity for owners managers and their key staff across Ireland to make connections while immersing themselves in the experience, entrepreneurial spirit and stories of entrepreneurs like David Walsh of Netwatch, Gerard Kennan of Kennans, Padraig O Ceidig founder of Aer Arann and renowned International speaker and author Joanne Hession of QED. Joining the panel this year was 10th time All Ireland Hurling Champion Henry Shefflin who shared his story of what it takes to stay ahead of curve in life, business and sport. The event was hosted by Dragons Den presenter Richard Curran and was attended by over 280 businesses.
