So you want to be an Energy Engineer?
The Carlow Kilkenny Energy Agency is an award winning team that has delivered in excess of €12m investment into the Carlow and Kilkenny region in 2014 from Energy Efficiency. Specialists in Sustainable Energy Consulting Project Management, CKEA has extensive knowledge and experience in energy auditing, Integration of renewable energies, feasibility studies etc. of small enterprises. We invite senior cycle students to come to Carlow Library and meet their Energy Engineers for some excellent career advice.

So you want to be a Software Engineer?
UNUM Ireland serves as a strategic software development and services centre for UNUM. Located in Carlow, Unum is a thriving business centre that is home to many young professionals and institutions of higher learning. Unum Software Engineers will meet senior Cycle students in Carlow Library, to have a chat about career progression in Software Engineering and give an overview of the activities of UNUM Ireland.

So you want to be a Civil Engineer?
Did you ever wonder what it would be like to work as an Engineer with Carlow County Council? Brian O Donovan, Senior Engineer with Carlow County Council would love to meet you in Carlow Library to answer all of your questions and give some practical career advice to assist you to determine if Engineering is your path in life.

Wesley's Workshop
Engineering week is fast approaching and the team at Carlow Central Library are hosting free workshops for senior students in primary Schools. This year we have teamed up with St. Mary’s Academy (CBS), Teacher Wesley Watchorn and his technology class to offer primary schools an exciting and interactive workshop to introduce the wonders of electronics.
Workshops take place on Wednesday 11th February in Carlow Central Library, Commencing at 10am, 11am, 12noon and 2pm.
Each workshop last approximately 45minutes and can accommodate a maximum of 25 students.
