Events were hosted in Carlow, Muinebheag and Tullow libraries, where muggles from local primary schools and their Professors took part in our Harry Potter quiz morning and their knowledge of people, places, professors, spells, quidditch and famous quotes was tested.
Carlow Central Library hosted the Magical Muggles of 5th & 6th Classes at Carlow National School. Ms. Nolan, the class teacher, was confident that many of her students would certainly pass the Hogwarts entrance exam.
Ms. Cleere brought her 5th Class boys from St. Brigid's National School to Muinebheag Library, where local librarians Breda and Bernie put these muggles through their mystical paces!!
Students from Scoil Lourdes Tullow were accompanied by Ms. Gerehy to their local library where Rachel & Clodagh were extremely impressed with their vast knowledge of all things supernatural and spooky.
County Librarian Josephine Coyne said: “We are extremely delighted with how well our Harry Potter Day went across our network of library branches in Carlow and are very excited to take part in such a high profile international event. A big thank you to all of the schools, both children and teachers, and library staff who ensured the success of this occasion.”
“I wouldn’t be surprised if owls from Hogwarts are spotted all across carlow, delivering invitations to attend their school of magic,” she added.
