AONTAS Adult Learners' Festival

The ninth AONTAS Adult Learners' Festival will take place from the 23-28 February 2015. The overall theme for the 2015 Festival is 'Learning - A Lifetime's Work' with individual themes for each day of the festival including Celebrate Learning, Green Learning, Learning Communities, Learning for Work, Lobby for Learning Day and Family Learning Day.

Every year Clare County Library celebrates the festival by holding events in various branches throughout the county. Events this year will include book displays in various branches, a Fun Science Family Workshop in the libraries in Scariff and Killaloe on Saturday, 28th February, and a presentation by the Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board (LCETB) in Shannon Library on Friday, 27th February to those who have recently completed FETAC courses with them. Shannon Library staff will also offer tours of the library and its resources on Wednesday, 25th February from 11.00-12.30. All are welcome. Free weekly computer classes continue to run in branches in Ennis, Scariff and Shannon.
