Launch of ENFOpoint service at Carndonagh Community Library

On Saturday 21st November over twenty people, adults and children attended the official launch of the ENFOpoint Service at Carndonagh Community Library.

As part of this unique service Donegal County Council Library Service has installed a dedicated iPad which makes a vast collection of environmental information available to the general public.

Dr. Trish Murphy, who formally launched the service, paid tribute to Donegal Library Service for being at the heart of the community as providers of knowledge and information. Senior Library Assistance and ENFO Co-ordinator Belinda Glackin stated that this unique service will complement the libraries other environmental resources of books, posters, leaflets, exhibitions and audio materials.

The launch also included a heritage/nature walking tour provided by local historian Dessie McCallion and the day ended with hot chocolate and cakes.
