The Burren is an area of limestone landscape in Co. Clare that spreads about 250 squared kilometres. The vast amount of limestone makes it look like a lunar landscape. The Burren is very rich in flora, fauna and also has a number of valuable archaeological sites e.g. megalithic tombs, portal dolmens, ring forts etc.
