Cork City and County Archives

Cork city and County Archives receives funding from Cork City Council, Cork County Council and the University of College Cork. It was established in 1971 as the first of its kind in Ireland based initially at Christ Church, South Main Street before moving to a purpose built building at Blackpool, Cork city in 2006. Since 1994, local government must arrange the managment, custody, care and preservation of local records and archives for public use.

Opening Times: 

Research Room: Generally open Tuesday to Friday, 10.00 a.m to 5.00 p.m. (including lunchtime). Appointment and Readers' Ticket required. Exhibition Space: Generally open to public, Monday to Friday 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m (Including lunchtime).
