Russell Library Archives

The Russell Library houses splendid collections of early printed books, manuscripts and archives which are maintained by its conservation department. The collections are an important resource for both students, academics and teachers. The impressive reading room was completed in 1861 and designed by Augustus Welby Pugin. The library is named in honour of Charles William Russell (1857-1880) who was President of Maynooth College.
