Derrynane House was the home of the O'Connell dynasty which produced Daniel O'Connell, famous to history as 'The Liberator' who became a champion of Catholic Emancipation eventually won in 1829. The house is surrounded by 120 hectares of park with views of the spectacular Kerry coast. Inside the mansion are relics chronicling his eventful often colourful life and career.
