Cregan Library at St. Patrick’s College, Drumcondra now contains over 160,000 books and 550 journals as well as microfiche, microfilm and other materials.  A major project to provide an integrated OPAC with Dublin City University was officially launched on Thursday 23rd September 1999.  In the summer of 2002, the library catalogue of Mater Dei Institute was added.  The system is the first to provide full web search facilities in both English and Irish.  The catalogues of the three libraries compliment each other and provide a single search point for approximately 400,000 book titles.  In Sept 2005 the online catalogue was upgraded, providing a new interface and much more user functionality for borrowers.  The Irish Language version of this will be operational in 2006.
