Doagh Famine Village and Visitors Center

Doagh Famine Village is a recreation of a village at the time of the Great Potato Famine of the 19th century and illustrates how rural life changed in Donegal into the modern era.  There are a number of authentic Irish thatched cottages including furniture and other artifacts from the period and figures dressed in authentic costumes. Among the attractions are an Irish wake, hedge school, Catholic mass rock, Orange hall, republican safehouse, Presbyterian meeting house and an exhibtion about the Irish travelling community.
