The Patrick Kavanagh Centre

The Patrick Kavanagh Centre is dedicated to the Irish poet and novelist Patrick Kavanagh (1904-1967) who was born in the rural townland of Inniskeen, Co. Monaghan. He was the author of Tarry Flynn, the Great Hunger and the poem Raglan Road. There is a bookshop where visitors can purchase copies of Kavanagh's poetry and prose, there is information about the poet's colourful and eventful life and the Annual Patrick Kavanagh Weekend is held at the centre.
