The Kilmallock Partnership in co-operation with Limerick County Council, the Limerick Clare Energy Agency and the Regional Waste Management office is launching a new project called Green Town Kilmallock. This project aims to develop a sustainable future for Kilmallock by bringing the community and business together.

A pilot initiative is starting with 20 businesses in the town invited to take part. Participating businesses will be assisted with savings costs in energy, waste and water as well as improving their environmental performance. The project will also be certified. The programme commenced with an information meeting for the business sector on the 22nd of November 2010 in the Deebert House Hotel.
