1901 Census

A Census is an official record taken of each member of a household on a particular day - Sunday, 31st March 1901 in this case.

For Heywood Demesne, the Census showed that 15 Families with 51 people - 19 Roman Catholic, 28 Protestant and 4 Presbyterians - lived on the Estate.

The Census requested the following information for each individual within the household: Name, Religion, Position in Age, Occupation, Marital Status, Where Born and Household Status.
