Examples of curved reflectors include convex and concave mirrors, spoons, mirrored Christmas globes, shaving mirrors and wing mirrors on a car. Close to a concave mirror, the reflections are magnified but are also reversed (left-right) as happens with a flat mirror. However, at a distance the images are upside down. If the image is turned around it is found to be still reversed (left-right).

Reflections in the hollow part of a spoon usually look inverted (i.e. they are upside down). However, very close to the spoon the images are reversed left to right but are not inverted. Try it out.
