“French Tom” Barton
Black and white photo of a portrait of Ballyshannon-born “French Tom” Barton. The subject is shown posed with quill and book, and wearing a wig fashionable in the 18th century. Tom Barton emigrated to France in the 1700s and made his fortune in the importation of wine to Ireland
