Parslickstown House

When one considers the modern and bustling suburb of Mulhuddart as it exists today, it is hard to imagine the small rural village that it once was. Amongst the housing estates and new apartment blocks remnants of different age dot the landscape and hint of a time long since forgotten.

Parslickstown House was once the home of the Carr Family. Perched on a hill, it overlooked its' 165 acre property and the community that resided there. Today it is home to the Greater Blanchardstown Development Project, and is as active in the area as it was then. It also serves as a reminder that before Mulhuddart was transformed into the bustling Dublin suburb that it is today, a rural village lying between Dublin and Meath existed there previously.
