Native Woodland Trust - Guided Walk
12 noon Saturday 28th April - Waterford City
The Native Woodland Trust are hosting a walking event this Saturday the 28th April in Waterford City - meeting at the Ardkeen Shopping Centre at 12noon and going to Ballinakill Wood which runs along the banks of the river Suir. It will be a guided walk free of charge for all to attend through the wood, it is a perfect time of year for spotting spring woodland flowers as well as other wildlife such as woodland birds and maybe even an otter in the river. Bee Identification Workshop - National Biodiversity Data Centre
An Introduction to Solitary Bees with Dr. Una Fitzpatrick
On the 26th April, The National Biodiversity Data Centre will host "An Introduction to Solitary Bees and their Identification" workshop with Dr. Una FiitzPatrick. The workshop will run from 10am-4pm and costs €20 (includes lunch).
